Uefa Champions League:Real Madrid’s End Of An Era. 1Real Madrid : How are the Mighty fallen! After a record three successive UEFA Champions league truimph Real Madrid bows out at home inside the Bernebau to Ajax Amsterdam 1-4 on the night and 5-3 on aggregate. Truly a night for the youthful Dutch side who lost 1-2 in the first leg and came in the second leg to knock out the greatest club side in European history.  And so the Defending champions Real Madrid are bundled out of the competition as they lose three straight home matches in three tournaments.

Ajax go through to the last eight along with Tottenham. It’s the Dutch club’s first time at this stage since 2003.

A change of guards and an inspirational night for the Camerounian keeper and Moroccan goalscorer for Ajax. With the giants crashing the exit door awaits Real Madrid’s coach Santiago Solari. A phase has come to an end..and some will add with the exit of Ronaldo to Juventus who are also in a cliff hanger against 2-0 first leg winners Athletico Madrid.

Other 2018/19 UEFA Champions League Results: (Round of 16 second leg): Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 aggregate), Real Madrid 1-4 AFC Ajax (AFC Ajax 5-3 aggregate) (both FT)
