The confederation African football called it restructuring but it is the removal of the its secretary general Amr Fahmy and his deputy Alaoui for whistle blowing against ahmad ahmad the caf president. At its in Cairo on CAF has therefore replaced Fahmy with a new secretary general Mouad Hajji from morocco with immediate effect
Hajji was a former Administrative Manager of the moroccoan national teams, fmr Deputy Director Local Organising Committee for the FIFA Club World Cup hosted in Morocco in 2014.
As Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Morocco, he was the brain behind several projects notably the “Sports Studies” program in six different disciplines between 2009 and 2011.
Sacked general secretary Amr Fahmy had accused his Caf president Ahmad Ahmad of bribery and corruption like payment of $20,000 into the accounts of African football federation presidents.
He also gave fifa a document accusing Ahmad of costing CAF an extra $830,000 by ordering equipment through French intermediary company called Tactical Steel.
Ahmad was also accused of harassing four female CAF staff,and over-spending more than $400,000 of CAF money on cars in Egypt and Madagascar, where a satellite office has been set up for him.
Ahmad, who is also a vice-president of world governing body FIFA, is yet to respond to the allegations against him.
Meanwhile Sabine Seillier, president of Tactical Steel, said her company won the contract with CAF genuinely with delivery guarantee of the equipment needed within a timeframe of three weeks.
The allegations against Ahmad follow scandals related to FIFA’s practices in Latin America and Asia in recent years, which led to the indictment and jailing of numerous senior football administrators from 2015.
Though fifa is yet to comment, The CAF case is potentially problematic for FIFA president Gianni Infantino – set to be re-elected unopposed in June for a four-year term because Ahmad is one of his deputies.
